Artifact : Class Facilitator Presentation

Chapter 18,32,33     AECT Standards : 1.1, 1.2 & 4.2

Description: During the fall semester of 2013, I presented Chapters 18, 32, and 33 and formed a discussion section with peers as an assignment by Instructor Dr. Misook Heo for one of the required synchronous courses, GDIT 705: Courseware Design.

Goal: The goal of facilitation was to learn about the principles related to my research interest, develop my dissertation, and improve my presentation skills.

Expectation: The expected outcome was to share my knowledge with my peers and instructor and to create a discussion section.

Reflection: Before presenting this presentation, I didn’t lead my peers on online learning environment. Although, I showed my projects previous semester in traditional classroom, I found that this facilitation increased my presentation skill level with technology-supported learning online. After leading my peers, I supported their learning with my presentation, Chapter 18, “The Animation and Interactivity Principles in Multimedia Learning”; Chapter 32, “Multimedia Learning in Virtual Reality”; and Chapter 33, “Multimedia Learning in Games, Simulations, and Microworlds.”  I will support my prospective students learning and to enhance their pedagogy with conducting them Chapters they are interested in researching.
