Artifact: Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) in the Classroom

BYOD in the Classroom                    Standards AECT : 5.2

Description: During the summer semester of 2014, I presented a session on BYOD in the Classroom  to instructors at the Summer Faculty Institute of the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC).

Goal: The goal of this session was to discuss how we, as educators, can integrate personal devices while maintaining the classroom environment.

Expectation: The expected outcome was to present a session at the Summer Faculty Institute.

Reflection: I already presented BYOD in the classroom at Virginia Tech University, but it was the first time to train Instructors know how to integrate personal devices whle maintaining the classroom environment workshop. It was at the CCAC Summer Faculty Institute and encouraged the participating instructors to bring their own devices. I  was expert to submit my proposal to the Conference Committee and presented. I now so familiar of the process of proposal and presenting at Colleges. It was the during the summer semester. I will support and guide my prospective students give workshops to develop their skills to present their work since teaching by learning increase their research.
